    <value>soft-paste porcelain painted underglaze in blue, overglaze in blue, turquoise, green, red, and black enamels and gold in Kakiemon style with vertical panels of prunus blossom, chrysanthemums, and a flower reserved in a blue ground</value>
  </description>
  <description>
    <value>Soft-paste porcelain, painted underglaze in dark blue, overglaze in blue, turquoise, green, red, and black enamels and gilded. The globular pot stands on a footring and has a short cylindrical neck, a slightly-curved, upward-tilting spout, and a D-shaped loop handle. In the wall behind the spout there are five holes in a circle to emit the tea. The low domed cover has a ventilation hole and a knob in the shape of a flower on a stalk with two small leaves. The underside of its rim and the outside of the flange which fits inside the neck is unglazed. The body is decorated on both sides with two wide white panels decorated respectively with prunus blossom and chrysanthemum sprays separated by a narrow panel with a central circular red and white flowerhead reserved in a dark blue ground overlaid by giold stylized flowers and foliage. There are comparable panels surrounding the handle and spout, which each have small red formal plant motifs on them.The cover is decorated en suite, and its knob has red petals and centre.</value>
