Stefano Fedeli was born in Rome in 1794, the son of a distinguished Roman goldsmith, Giovanni Fedeli. Stephano was admitted as master to the Guild of Goldsmiths in Rome in October 1815, and was granted the mark which is struck, in addition to the Roman town mark, on these rimmonim. He continued to use this mark until 1866, when he registered a new mark. He retired in 1870.
