The clipping is from a catalogue of 1924 (No. 36) from the bookseller, R.S. Frampton who was based at "Walton House", 37 Fonthill Road, Finsbury Park, London, N4. The catalogue, with several lot descriptions cut from it, was found in boxes containing Glaisher's valentines. See Valentinesarchive15. This valentine was bought at the same time as another Kershaw valentine, P.14410-R-44, which was listed as number 603 in the catalogue. This card was included in the exhibition of valentine cards, _For ever thine: the nineteenth century valentine_, held in the Charrington Print Room at the Fitzwilliam Museum in 1995, no. 22. A graphite number "22" is written onto the album leaf in the lower right-hand corner, which corresponds to the numbering of the catalogue. title: Valentine card LICENSING --------- text license status: CC0 image license status: CC-BY-NC-SA OWNERSHIP --------- instutition: The Fitzwilliam Museum department: Paintings, Drawings and Prints creditline: Bequeathed by Dr J.
