Affixed at the centre is a chromolithographed scrap of a bellboy \/ hotel porter carrying a parcel, hat box and bouquet of flowers, all of which have flaps that open to reveal a metal instrument, a \"Trinkhalle\" with bar-maid and a bottle, respectively. The lace-paper front is adhered to the back paper. A printed scroll with 'mock' advertisement affixed below the figure: \"Wanted a Mate \/ The Applicant \/ can give positive \/ proof that strict \/ honor [sic] is his plan.\". The German words printed onto the scrap of the bellboy\/porter indicate that it is clearly a German import, as many chromolithographed scraps were during the first half of the nineteenth century.
