The envelope once contained a series of 6 small 64mo-size comic valentines from the 'Grammar of Love' series. Four of the six are mounted onto the same leaf of album P.14412-R, nos. 92 to 95 and the remaining two are, P.14357-R and P.14373-R, which were also originally mounted here. The envelope probably originated with a dealer who was sending Glaisher valentines on approval. See also P.14412-R-L7, an identical envelope with an inscription in the same hand and which contained a number of valentines from a different series.
