Hard-paste porcelain painted in iron-red, green, black and grey enamels. The dish has shallow, rounded sides with outcurved rim resting on a low, tapered, double footrim. In the centre medallion, within a red and green foliate border, stands a lady holding a fan beside a balcony. This is encircled by a stylised lotus pattern within a red and green foliate border, with further bands of scale pattern, triangle work, herringbone and stylised flower heads around the rim. The underside is decorated with a band of red and green rectangular lappets, and a band of triangle work.
