At the centre is a heart-shaped window with a scalloped edge and a blind of pink tissue paper decorated with stencilled leaves and stems and an applied hand-cut and hand-coloured flower. A 'scallop shell' border in gold ink is lithographed around the outer edge of the window. A lithographed verse in gold ink is located above and below the window: 'Naught on earth so dear to me \/ As to know my love return'd by thee'. Leafy stems with applied silver paper butterfly ornaments are lithographed in green ink at upper and lower centre. A 'scallop shell' edging is lithographed in gold ink. The front paper is adhered to the back paper. There are other cards of a similar design in album P.14414-R, all of which employ the same wavy, embossed border.
