A lithographed vignette of a couple embracing on a grassy bank, a verse printed below: 'The fountains mingle with the river \/ And the rivers with the ocean \/ The winds of heaven, mix forever, \/ With a sweet commotion. ...'. The poem seems to be a modified version of Shelley's poem, _Love's Philosophy_ (1820). The lithographed image - of grass, flowers and butterflies - is continued below the verse at lower right. Signed at lower right: \"E. Gilks del & lith.\". The interior is blank. P.14346-R-38 is another example of this design, although the printing of the blue ink in P.14346-R-38 is more intense. P.14414-R-110 is one of a number of designs for valentines by Gilks which are mounted together as a group in album P.14414-R. Other designs by Gilks are contained in album P.14346-R. As Gilks emigrated to Australia in 1852, this design is most likely to have been produced either during Gilks's apprenticeship in London to Thomas Dean, between 1836-1843 or between 1844-1850 when he was in partnership with his brother Thomas, a wood-engraver, based at 4 Fenchurch Building, Fenchurch, London."}],"identifier":[{"accession_number":"P.14414-R-110","primary":true,"type":"accession number","value":"P.14414-R-110"},{"priref":"215101","type":"priref","value":"215101"},{"type":"uri","uri":"https:\/\/data.fitzmuseum.cam.ac.uk\/id\/object\/215101","value":"https:\/\/data.fitzmuseum.cam.ac.uk\/id\/object\/215101"}],"institutions":[{"@link":{"type":"reference"},"admin":{"id":"agent-149638","uid":"adlib-agent-149638","uuid":"7376d833-d0a7-3be0-916e-9c892b7a24d8"},"summary_title":"The Fitzwilliam Museum"}],"legal":{"credit_line":"Bequeathed by Dr J.
