The top layer is decorated with a cut-paper hand-coloured bird at upper centre and a cut-paper scroll with lithographed detail in gold ink and motto: 'A TOKEN OF LOVE'. A circular window at the centre contains a collage of frosted fabric flowers and an embossed silver and white paper ornament of Cupid in a shell boat. A hand-written inscription in graphite on the album leaf above: 'G'.
