Two stems of pink roses are stencilled onto the central panel. Three large, hand-coloured, cut-paper lithographs of butterflies are affixed around the roses and a small, lithographed paper scroll is affixed at lower centre. The scroll is printed in gold ink with a verse: 'This fragrant / flower my love / is thine / Accept from thy / Valentine'.
