A single sheet of white card with an embossed design in gold leaf and blue, green and red lithographed inks. A central oval panel contains a title and verse lithographed in blue ink: 'MEMORY. / At midnight hour I love to think / On those most dear, most far from me, / And memory often at that hour / Would gladly wing its flight to thee. / I would not that my form should rise / Before thee in thy hours of glee, / But when thou think'st on friends sincere, / I wish thee to remember me.'. The card is secured onto the front pastedown with gold foil tape and with two lace-paper flaps, presumably from the original envelope, taped decoratively above and below.
