    <value>Correspondence on white wove headed paper from E.W. Hiscoke of Hiscoke&#x2019;s Library, New and Secondhand Booksellers, Stationers, etc., 22 Hill Street, Richmond, Surrey. The header design, printed in orange ink, states that the &#x2018;Manager&#x2019; is Mr E.W. Hiscoke and that Hiscoke&#x2019;s Library is a &#x2018;Depot For &#x201C;SWAN&#x201D; PENS AND INKS&#x2019;. A handwritten note in black ink to Glaisher, dated September 8th, 1928 and signed &#x2018;E.W. Hiscoke&#x2019;: &#x2018;Dear Sir, / I take the liberty of sending herewith / 3 prints &#x2013; kind of valentines &#x2013; which I think might be of interest to you. I am asking / 7/6 for the 3 &amp; shall be pleased to know / that you care to add them to your collection.&#x2019;. The paper has a watermark: &#x2018;&#x201D;SWAN&#x201D; PEN [image of swan and pen] / BOND&#x2019;. 
Glaisher had bought a valentine from Hiscoke&#x2019;s Library on July 30th 1928. See P.14554-R.</value>
