This is the smaller of two versions of this bust of Juno. The larger version, 63.5 cm high, modelled by W. Theed, was displayed by Copeland in the Great Exhibition of 1851. Louis Auguste Malempré (c. 1820-1888) was born in Antwerp, but spent much of his life in London. He worked in Theed's studio.
