    <value>Netsuke, manju decorated with iris. Wood, carved and lacquered in gold. Circular manju in one section carved in high relief with an iris, the petals unfolding and two leaves encircling the bloom. The leaves and calyx are finely decorated with a red and gilt mosaic motif, the petals are outlined in brown and black, and the stamens are drawn in gold. The cord is attached by a metal chrysanthemum fitting which is secured to the netsuke with three small pins and it has a hinged metal ring.</value>
