The leap-frog procession is led by King William IV who has his crown knocked off his head by Earl Grey (Charles Grey, 2nd Earl). The King exclaims: 'Dam - it didn't \/ you tell me you would \/ not touch the Crown'. Behind this pair are Brougham (Henry Peter Brougham, cr. Baron Brougham and Vaux in 1830) and the Duke of Wellington. Other recognisable figures in the background are: Henry Hunt and Daniel O'Connell, who are cheering the procession on, O'Connell saying: 'Go it my boys we shall soon \/ have it our own way.'. Lord Holland (Henry Richard Vassall Fox, 3rd Baron Holland), Lord Wynford (William Draper Best, cr. Baron Wynford in 1829), Lord Durham (John George Lambton, cr. Baron 1828 and Earl 1833), Cumberland (Ernest Augustus, Duke of Cumberland; King of Hanover 1837-51), Lord King (Peter King, 7th Baron King of Ockham), Viscount Althorp (John Charles Spencer, 3rd Earl Spencer 1834-45), Lord Lansdowne (Henry Petty, 3rd Marquis) and Lord Eldon (John Scott, Earl of Eldon). A street urchin runs off with the Purse of the Great Seal in the left foreground.
