To his right, behind the Beadle, is Wellington. Ellenborough stands behind Londonderry: 'I sat! don't hit the man so hard'. Behind Plunket is G.R. Dawson, Peel's brother-in-law, who takes the cloth from the basket with a stick, striking Eldon at the far right, in the face, who says: 'I am a poor old man'. The two figures behind and to the right of Dawson are Philip Crampton and Spring Rice. Signed with monogram at lower left: 'HB'. Title printed below the border: 'AN IRISH ROW'.
