Lord Brougham, his pole snapped in half caused by the heavy weight of 'Toryism' (now on the ground), falls backwards from the tightrope. Signed with artist's monogram at lower left: 'HB'. Title printed below the border: 'FALL OF THE _VAUX_ -HALL PERFORMER.'. The publisher's details printed below the border to the left: 'Published by T. McLean, 26, Haymarket, Novr. 22nd. 1834.'. Printer's details below the border to the right: 'Ducôté & Stephen's Lithogy, 70, St. Martins Lane'. Printed above the border at upper right: 'HB Sketches No. 341'.
