The two final bands are inscribed "Mary Ann Winsborrow's Work" , "In the 8th Year of her Age-1835" A girl of that name was born in Newton Abbott, Devon on the 9th August 1828, baptised St. Nicholas, Sheldon, 5 miles from Newton Abbott. Her father was a shoe maker.
