Above this is inscribed Psalm 92 from "Psalms, Hymns & Spiritual Songs" , Dr. Isaac Watts (1674-1748) beginning "Lord tis a pleasant thing to stand......." and first published between 1707 -1709. traditional flora and fauna detached motifs are arranged symmetrically either side of and beneath the inscriptions. In the lower third of the sampler there is a centrally placed tree flanked by floral and animal motifs, with a female figure holding a bird, a house to the left and a windmill to the right.
