  <description>
    <value>Cream earthenware, transfer-printed overglaze in polychrome. Circular with curved sides flaring out slightly towards the rim, with a bulge on the right side linked to an aperture with a cork stopper in a matching bulge in the top of the flat border encircling the deep bowl inside. The domed cover has a circular recess in the middle crossed by a horizontal handle. Its lower edge is unglazed.
The centre of the bowl is decorated with a Bunnikins scene of a group of six rabbits, &#x2018;Apple Picking&#x2019;, and there are fifteen rabbits scampering round the rim. The cover is decorated on the outside with three Bunnikins scenes: &#x2018;Row Boat&#x2019;, depicting Mr and Mrs Rabbit and three little rabbits in a boat; one fishing, one trailing a toy boat, and one on its mother&#x2019;s knee; Nipped by a Crab&#x2019;, a rabbit in a red jacket holding a shrimping net and having his paw bitten by a crab; and a rabbit in a red jacket riding a black and white hobby horse.</value>
