object type: An intimate view of a female welder at a workbench, hair tied back into a bun and wrapped in a headscarf and wearing protective goggles. Dramatic contrasts of light and dark centre around the bright sparks which fly as she employs the flame of acetylene gas to weld a part. A second, almost identical female welder, is seen further along the workbench to the right.
