Portrait of Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington, K.G., K.B., M.P. (1769-1852), standing, half-length, facing front, his right arm crossed in front towards his left arm. Wearing a military-style cloak around evening clothes of jacket, waistcoat and cravat with the insignia of the Order of the Golden Fleece on a ribbon around his neck.
