The man is carrying two laden baskets suspended from a yoke, and rests on his cane as he stops to watch the puppeteer. The woman points at the puppet show and the child, in a red and gold floral kimono, holds a chrysanthemum windmill. The sides are covered with a two-tone gold and black diaper pattern. The interior and the base are in nashiji (shimmering spangles).
