object type: Anglo-Saxon silver strap-end, 9th cent., Trewhiddle style animal, in frame and beaded border (Thomas Class A, Type 1); fragment lacking each end, 20 x 9 mm (max.), 3.01g; X-Ray Florescence analysis at the British Museum: 91-97% silver.  Found by Mr Len Eeles at Weston Colville, Cambs, 30 Sept. 2007; reported and acquired under the Treasure Act 1996 (no. 20078 T536).
