  <description>
    <value>Sketch for the reverse design of the 20 centavos coin of Nicaragua issued in 1880, with circles indicating the size of the 5, 10 and 20 centavos coins which all have the same design. The inscription &#x92;15 DE SETIEMBRE 1821&#x92; commemorates the date of independence from Spain. Unsigned but presumably by a member of the Wyon family; the 1880 coinage was struck at Heaton&#x92;s factory in Birmingham. Pencil sketch on card; design 195mm diam, sheet 228 x 287 mm.</value>
