Sixty-five items have been selected for the collection:  58 coins, including an antoninianus of Carausius (AD 286-93); a silver penny of William I, Paxs type; a penny of Edward II, class 11b3\/11b2, Durham; a groat of Edward IV\u0092s second reign, London; a shilling of Charles I; and a crown of Charles II; a gold sovereign and half-sovereign of Victoria; one token of the British Armed Forces; three banknotes, Belgium (1) and Germany (2); and three medals, including two German military awards (a 1914 Iron Cross 2nd class and 1939 War Merit Cross 2nd class) which were picked up by a friend of Mr Allen among debris in Hitler\u0092s bunker after the Allied capture of Berlin in 1945.
