<value>Lazarus Jacobs, of the Temple Street Glasshouse died in 1795 and was succeeded by his son, Isaac, who set up the Non-Such Flint Glass House in Great Gardens, Bristol in 1805. This decanter and its pair are unsigned but were probably made in one or other glasshouse. Similar decanters in the Bristol City Art Gallery are signed 'I Jacobs, England, Bristol'.
