Holograph manuscript in ink, dated on leaf 1 "4th May 1851" and "October 1851" on leaf 142.
The horn, trumpet, trombone, timpani and percussion parts are written in score on additional inserted leaves after leaves 10-25, 95-105, 107, 110-121, 123-131, and 133-141 (42 additional leaves in all).
Original foliation 1-142, with additional leaves numbered with the addition of "1/2", e.g. leaf "10" is followed by leaf "10 1/2".
