        <value>Baskets of this type, probably for fruit, are thought to have been made in Spain, Bohemia, the Southern Netherlands, and England. Some may have formed part of table centres. A design in the Zoude Catalogue, Namur, about 1762 depicts one on top of a column with arms to hold smaller baskets at intervals down its sides.</value>
