IDENTIFIERS ----------- id: 282177 accession number: P.104-2020 DATE AUDIT ---------- created: Monday 15 March 2021 updated: Monday 16 January 2023 DESCRIPTIVE DATA ---------------- object type: A very richly inked impression printed on India laid onto a support, trimmed to the edge of the tissue just within the plate mark and later relined. It is possible that the impression printed on India has been lifted from its original support, trimmed slightly, and laid back down on its original or another support, and then relined. This may explain the difference in the vertical dimension between this impression, 355 mm. at the centre, and the Fitzwilliam impression, 352 mm at the centre. there are odd additional light scratches to the plate that suggest that this impression was printed later than P.4-1953. title: print NOTES ----- type: history note value: Formerly the property of Thomas Chevalier, surgeon, who is said to have attended Blake.
