  <description>
    <value>The Nailing of Christ to the Cross. Stained and painted glass in grisaille and two shades of silver-yellow stain. Christ's body is arched over the T-shaped cross which lies on the ground. On the left a soldier wearing a turban stands with his left arm raised holding aloft a club and with his right hand grasps a rope attached to a collar around Christ's neck. On the right, another holds up his right arm and grasps with his right a chain attached to the collar. Christ's robe, a hammer and two nails lie in the foreground and on the left there is a rope in a basket. In the background the action is watched by the Virgin Mary and St. John, who stand on a hill with trees on the extreme right and left. In a rectangular lead with a wire for suspension at the top.</value>
