object type: Agony in the Garden, carved in boxwood in relief. The three-quarter length figure of Christ, with halo and his arms folded on his breast, faces three-quarter left. The angel, holding a chalice in his left hand and a Roman four-pointed cross (not an Orthodox eight-pointed one) in the left hand, appears kneeling in a cloud in the extreme left of the composition. In the background are trees and the walls of Jerusalem.
