object type: Emperor Napeoleon III, wearing uncoloured military uniform and hat, and black boots, sits astride his horse, right arm raised to his head in salute. His horse raises its front left leg. The base displays the word 'EMPEROR', moulded and picked out in gilt. The underside is concave and glazed. The back is flat and undecorated, with a vent hole towards the base.
object type: White earthenware figure on horseback, moulded in parts. Painted with black and pink enamels, and gilt. Pair with Empress Eugenie (C.3B-2021).
