<summary_title>Groenekan, Gerard A. van der</summary_title>
</maker>
<note>
<value>Originally designed by Rietveld in 1923 for The Schröder House, Utrecht, an architectural project that embodied the ideals of De Stijl movement. As with Red Blue Chair (M.1-2022), this table demonstrates Rietveld’s interest in basic, interlocking construction and the use of flat planes to construct a three-dimensional piece of furniture.
This later edition (date of production TBC) was made by Gerard A. Van Der Groenekan (1904–94), Utrecht, Rietveld’s original studio assistant and furniture fabricator.</value>
