  </description>
  <description>
    <value>Soft-paste porcelain plate, painted onglaze with red, green, purple and pink enamels, and gilt. The circular plate is supported on a low footring; the out-turned fluted rim has a scalloped edge of twenty-four intersections. The plate is decorated with the 'Earl Manvers' pattern. The rim is painted with a border of pink diaper panels which alternate with green florettes reserved within gilt scrollwork against a stippled ground. The well with eight large radiating 5-scrolls in purple entwined with, and separated by, festoons of red-berried green leaves. In the centre is a cluster of three plums within a feathered gilt medallion.</value>
