  <description>
    <value>Porcelain jug, double-walled pierced, painted underglaze in blue, 'jewelled' in coloured enamels, and gilt. The pear-shaped jug has a simulated bamboo handle, and flared neck with quatrelobed ogival rim. It stands on a small double-walled circular footring, with quatrefoil decoration. The sides are pierced with panels of Chinese-inspired fretwork alternating with upright bands of circlets. The pierced decoration is gilt, the neck and shoulders are painted in underglaze blue and enriched with gilt-edged 'jewels' in red, green, yellow and white enamel.</value>
