The depressed globular teapot has a curved spout and loop handle. The sides are moulded with two circular medallions bordered by scrolling leaves and chrysanthemums, the centre is painted with Chinese river scenes, at the base of which are the moulded initials 'IH' and date '1761'. The shoulders are painted with a cell diaper border.
