object type: Soft-paste porcelain jug, painted in green, pink and purple enamels. The pear-shaped jug has a sparrow-beak spout and ribbed loop handle, and is supported on a wedge-shaped footring. It is painted with two crossed roses below the spout, flanked by small leaf sprigs, between bands of interwoven meandering festoons of pink roses and purple herring-bone, a pink herring-bone line on the handle.
