The unglazed underside has a round ventilation hole near the back. The square base has straight sides and is undecorated. Winter stands with his left knee relaxed and his arms crossed in front of his chest, leaning forward slightly. He has a long grey beard, and wears a blue cloak lined with brown and white fur, which falls down from his head to the ground at the back and is held up across his loins and upper legs in his right hand.
