object type: Soft-paste porcelain containing bone ash, press-moulded, and covered on the visible surfaces with clear lead-glaze with black speckles. The approximately square base is unglazed underneath and has a central oval ventilation hole. The Muse stands beside a pedestal draped with a cloth on which is a globe which she supports with her right hand. She leans towards the globe and with her left hand holds a pair of dividers over it (missing) She wears a veil, a long robe with cuffs to the sleeves, and a drape.
