  <description>
    <value>Soft-paste porcelain containing bone ash, figure of a Scotch Shepherdess with Lamb, press-moulded, and painted over lead-glaze in blue, green, yellow, flesh-pink, mauve, red, pale purple, and brown enamels, and gilt. The underside of the circular base is unglazed and has a ventilation hole near the back. The shepherdess stands in front of a tree trunk with a square aperture in its back to take an attachment. A lamb reclines on the ground to her right. Her feet are together, her head is turned to her right. Her left arm is forward, and with her right hand she holds up her skirt. She wears a broad-brimmed blue hat with a yellow bow, and a yellow underside with gold scalloped edging. Her bodice is yellow with mauve cuffs with white ruffles below, and her skirt is striped in yellow, mauve, red, and purple. A plaid scarf is crossed over in front of her bodice and is tied loosely at the back. Her shoes are blue with mauve and gold bows. The base is decorated with three applied flowers and leaves.</value>
