The roughly circular base has a tree stump at the back with a branch on the viewer's left, and at the front, a semi-circular panel inscribed 'EUROPE' in gold, flanked by frilly scrolls. Europe stands on both feet, her head turned slightly to her left, and her left arm raised, holding a missing object. her left arm is by her side, the hand supporting the lower end of a cornucopia of fruit, including bunches of grapes. She wears a gold headband, a bluish-green tunic with a pattern of groups of purple spots between vertical lines of leaves, with six gold buttons on the skirt, and a pink marbled cloak with a blue lining. At her feet there is a gold sceptre and crown, a brown mallet (?), a pair of dividers, and a gold helmet over a red book.
