The underside is unglazed and has a small circular ventilation hole. The oval low mound base is decorated with a dark pink and yellow applied flower and two leaves at the front, a flower and three leaves at the back, and one leaf between the ram's feet. It rises up in the centre into a cylindrical support. The ewe stands in profile to left, with its right hind leg off the ground, and its head turned to the viewer. Its body and head are decorated with six black and reddish-brown areas of wavy fleece, its horns are grey, and its mouth red.
