The unglazed underside has a central large ventilation hole, and three patch marks. The base is roughly circular with a six-lobed edge formed by swirling clouds and scrolls. It rises up into a cylindrical mass which supports the ornate chariot on which Juno sits, accompanied by a peacock which perches on the back of the chariot. Juno sits with her left leg forward, resting her right elbow on the side of the chariot, and holding a small globe in her left hand supporting it on her knee. She wears a red frontlet over her brown hair, and a pale yellow off-the-left shoulder dress, scattered with polychrome floral sprays, and having a turquoise lining, also a belt with a gold jewel at centre front. The peacock is painted naturalistically.
