object type: Mourning pendant. Gold, ivory and hair. Long pointed oval, containing under domed glass a scene of an obelisk on a pedestal, in relief, standing in a grove of cypresses, painted on ivory. The obelisk is black with an urn in relief on it. The base of the pedestal is formed of hair with an oval plaque, inscribed with the initials 'PB'. The frame is chased with a simple geometric design. On the back is inscribed:
