Pale cream earthenware, tin-glazed on both sides. Painted in pale and dark blue, green, yellow, orange and brownish-red. In the middle, part of a border comprising rectangles crossed diagonally in blue separated by two yellow lines flanking a green. On the shallow side of the well dark blue scallops between wide pale blue bands. On the rim, orange scales with a dark blue plant motif on each, and round the outer edge dark blue radiating lines over a pale blue band.
