  <description>
    <value>Fragmentary plate (7 joined fragments). Pale buff earthenware, thickly potted, tin-glazed creamy white on both sides. Painted in blue, yellow and brown.
Circular with wide gently sloping rim and shallow well, slightly convex in the middle.
The central medallion contains two hands clasping a flaming heart (?) on a blue background, with incised ribbons above and below the wrists, enclosed by a wide blue circle between two narrow. On the sides are small blue crossed rhomboids alternating with short wavy lines and dots, and three blue bands round the shoulder. The rim is decorated with linked strapwork knots in circles, with stylized foliage in the background, and the edge is encircled by blue and yellow bands. On the back are radiating blue squiggles and arrowheads.</value>
