  <description>
    <value>Dish. Dark buff earthenware, the front tin-glazed; the reverse probably slip-coated or tin-glazed before application of greenish-brown lead glaze. Painted in blue, green, dark yellow, and orange.
Shape 61. Circular with sloping rim upturned at the edge, and wide deep well, standing on a footring in which there are two suspension at the top.
In the well, a lancer mounted on a horse gallops to the right. He has a beard and wears a tall hat and a long gown. The landscape background has a low horizon. The sky is mostly white, except for an area of blue at the top of the well. The rim is divided by radial stripes into six panels containing alternately scale pattern and a foliate scroll with formal fruit and flowers. A yellow band partly encircles the outer edge.</value>
