object type: Shaft and blade of steering oar from a boat model. The blade retains much of its original red pigment, and has very little damage except for on the tip of the blade. The shaft curves slightly, and has at some point, separated from the blade, which can be seen in the same tray. Like the blade, the pigments used on the shaft are also well preserved, but there is some flaking of the paint near the top of the shaft.
