  <description>
    <type>physical description</type>
    <value>Flat square carved piece of wood, with depiction of Bes (possibly dancing) in raised relief facing right, with signs of pigments evident in his depiction. This object has been carved and subsequently mounted onto a piece of card for display. Thin carved tenons at top and bottom of object, which was likely a furniture element. Edward Towry Whyte's initials are visible on the left side of the object. A prominent knot can be seen in the middle of the wood, and there is damage to the bottom right corner of the wood, and to both tenons. There are a small group of vertical cracks present at the bottom of the object, both on the dowel and on the front of the piece itself.</value>
